Even though sales are somewhat lower compared to last year, profit figures in the third quarter are higher than in many years. The main reason for the improved results is improved profitability for Moelven’s modular business and the Group’s sawmill division. The third quarter figures were reported in Moelven’s third quarter report that was issued today.

The current Director of IT, Human Resources and Business Development, Mr. Hans Rindal, was officially appointed Vice President of the Moelven Group yesterday. The background for the appointment was that the current President and CEO of the Moelven Group, Mr. Ole Salvén, will face tremendous challenges in his new role as President and CEO of Finnforest and needs a reliable second-in-command at Moelven until the Board has decided on a new leader by the end of the year.

The Boards of Directors of Metsäliitto Group, Finnforest Corporation and Metsäliitto-Yhtymän Tehdasmittaus Oy have accepted a plan to merge Metsäliitto Groups wholly owned subsidiaries Finnforest Corporation and Metsäliitto-Yhtymän Tehdasmittaus Oy to Metsäliitto Cooperative.
